Here are a few simple and effective tips for weight loss for shift workers ( or anyone) that last a lifetime!
Find a system of eating that you can adhere to for the long haul. It is super easy to get caught up in the quick fix.
No diet will be effective if it isn't something that you aren't able to stick to
Weight management is not something that ever stops and if you start a diet that is super constrictive and not something you see yourself being able to do for years then it probably isn’t going to work out.
Eat more fruits and vegetables. Yeah, you have heard this before but just do it. Aim to eat a cup of colorful, fibrous veggies with each full meal.
Eat on a schedule that works for you!
Finding yourself with no appetite at night while working? No problem!
Don't fight it! just have a small protein-rich snack or two during your shift and eat a bigger meal when you got home.
Use a weekly average of total calories. This is something I absolutely love. No reason to fret over every single day, if you want that glass of wine or that dessert, then enjoy it!
Just reduce the calories for the rest of the week! No big deal.
